Special Pressure Transmitters Designed for Measuring the Level of Sewage Systems

Monitoring and expanding the sewer system in flood-prone areas of the world is critical. In recent years, modern lift stations have been built in these areas, which pump wastewater in so-called backflow loops to a level higher than the downstream manholes in the sewerage system.

Recently, pressure transmitters have been designed to act as sensors for measuring the level of wastewater and are installed in these lift stations. In addition, floating switches are used as secondary control elements. Pressure transmitters have AL 203 membrane which is resistant to chemicals and due to having a layer of gold is more resistant to physical damage than steel membrane.
