Autonomous Remote Transmitters for Monitoring Territorial Waters

Environmental monitoring systems in various countries, including Russia, monitor the temperature and water level of lakes and rivers. In order for governments to be able to properly control and protect the environment, it is necessary to monitor the environment as precisely as possible.

Hydrostatic systems have been used for this purpose for some time. Components used in a hydrostatic water level monitoring system include a level sensor (which measures temperature and pressure) and an autonomous remote transmitter (which itself is equipped with a barometer).

Recently, autonomous remote transmitters have been designed that are capable of operating in extreme weather. The systems in which these types of transmitters are used are equipped with cameras to prevent theft. The data obtained from hydrostatic systems are sent to the relevant organs through GSM/GPRS. Battery charge status is another data that is transmitted to these centers. In a period of 5-7 years, no maintenance work will be required other than replacing the lithium batteries of these systems.

A modified form of data transmission unit is used instead of traditional units in these transmitters.
