Description

Keller pressure sensor 0 to 160 bar, G1/4”, mPm electrical connection – PA-21Y

0.5 %FS accuracy, 4 to 20 mA output, 316L stainless steel

The case study pressure transmitter of the PA-21Y series has no internal seal and a high insulation voltage of 300 VDC, and is extremely resistant to environmental influences. The sophisticated compensation circuit makes it possible to specify a narrow total error band.

This transmitter is also extremely immune to external voltages between the housing and the electrical connection, which is particularly important when frequency converters are being used.

This pressure transmitter provides:

  • High accuracy
  • Low response time
  • Wide range of operating temperature
  • Silicone oil fitting
  • Extreme ruggedness towards electromagnetic fields

Measuring range

This Keller pressure transmitter is designed to measure process pressure at the range of 0 to 160 bar.

Body

The PA-21Y is made of stainless steel 316L which provides proper resistance and compatibility with a large variety of medias.

Part number, pressure measurement range, output, power supply, CE certification, wiring configuration and exclusive serial number of each sensor are carved on the body of this product.

Electrical connection

The electrical connection of this pressure sensor is mPm-plug (DIN 43650 C), which provides ingress protection of IP65.

Process connection

At the lower part of the sensor, there is a thread pressure port for connection to the process. This port is named process connection. This PA-21Y sensor has G1/4” male mechanical connection.

To ensure high chemical and thermal resistance and better sealing of the connecting part to the process, one Viton sealing washer (O-ring) is used in a G 1/4" mechanical connection. This sealing is compatible with -20…200°C temperature range.

Reference pressure

In this pressure transmitter, Sealed Gauge pressure has been considered as reference pressure. So, the process pressure would be measured in reference to the atmospheric pressure behind the stainless steel 316L internal diaphragm. This atmospheric pressure equals to pressure of the surrounding atmosphere.

Output

Output signal of this product is 4 to 20 mA, with 2 wires in need.

Accuracy

Accuracy of this PA-21Y sensor is less than or equal to 0.5% full scale at room temperature. This accuracy includes below specifications:

  • Non-Linearity (best fitted straight line)
  • Non-Repeatability
  • Hysteresis

Temperature

Different permissible temperature conditions are defined for using this product:

  • Medium temperature: -40 … 100°C
  • Storage temperature: -40 … 100°C
