Description

Hogller PX4 Series: Built to Withstand the Toughest Conditions

High Temperature Resistance, 17-4PH Stainless Steel Body, 0.5% FS Accuracy

Ever feel like you're walking on eggshells with your pressure measurements? Worried about fluctuating temperatures throwing off your readings, or worse, equipment failure under pressure? We hear you. That's why we offer the Hogller PX4 Series pressure transmitters, built with cutting-edge micro-fused technology to deliver unmatched performance and reliability.

Here's the secret sauce: Our innovative micro-fused design creates an impermeable barrier between the sensor and the pressure medium. This means no leaks, no drifts, and no worries, even in the most demanding environments. Whether you're dealing with extreme temperatures, corrosive fluids, or high vibrations, the PX4 Series can handle it all.

Body

Built tough from the inside out, the PX4 features a robust, oil-free design that eliminates the need for internal sealing rings, simplifying maintenance and reducing potential leak points. The wetted parts, including the isolation diaphragm and pressure port, are constructed from high-grade stainless steel 17-4PH, ensuring exceptional corrosion resistance and durability even in the harshest environments.

Pressure Measuring Range

The PX4 Series excels in measuring gauge pressure, the pressure relative to ambient air. Choose from models covering 0 ... 10 bar to 0 ... 1000 bar for precise readings tailored to your application. Choose between vented gauge for pressures up to 35 bar and sealed gauge for higher ranges.
Rest assured, even under unexpected pressure peaks, with a burst pressure of up to 5 times the full scale (FS) range. For added peace of mind, models with pressure ranges above 400 bar boast a maximum burst pressure of 2000 bar.
Benefit from an overpressure tolerance that varies depending on the chosen range:

  • 3x FS for Pressure Range ≤ 50 bar
  • 2x FS for 50 bar ≤ Pressure Range < 750 bar
  • 1.5x FS for 750 bar ≤ Pressure Range ≤ 1000 bar

These robust specifications ensure the PX4 Series can handle demanding environments without compromising accuracy or safety.

Process Connection

The PX4 Series seamlessly integrates into your system with a variety of standard process connections, including G 1/2" B, M20 x 1.5, G 1/4" A, G 3/8" A, and 1/4" NPT. Don't hesitate to inquire about other options – we're happy to accommodate most customer requests for a perfect fit.

Electrical Connection

The PX4 Series offers flexible electrical connection options for seamless integration into your system. Choose from standard options like DIN EN 175301-803, Form C, M12x1 (4-pin), Packard Metri-Pack (3-pin), and Cable Outlet. And if you have a unique requirement, don't worry – we're happy to explore other connection options to ensure a perfect match for your setup.

Output

Cater to diverse applications with the PX4 Series' flexible output signal options. Choose from commonly used industry standards like 4...20 mA, 0...10 VDC, and 0.5...4.5 VDC. Need more granular control? Opt for the ratiometric 0.5...4.5 VDC output. Don't see your perfect fit? No problem – we offer customization upon request to ensure seamless integration into your specific setup.

Long Term Stability

Experience exceptional long-term stability with the PX4 Series. Boasting a drift of ≤ ±0.25 %FS/year, you can count on reliable and accurate measurements even over extended periods. This minimizes the need for frequent recalibration and ensures consistent performance throughout the lifespan of your equipment, saving you time and money in the long run.

Accuracy

The PX4 Series delivers impressive accuracy across a wide range of pressure measurements. With a typical accuracy of ≤ ±0.5 %FS, you can trust its readings for demanding applications. Even for pressure ranges below 16 bar, the accuracy remains a commendable ≤ ±1 %FS, ensuring reliable results even in low-pressure scenarios.

Shock and Vibration

Built to withstand even the most rugged environments, the PX4 Series excels in shock and vibration resistance. It can handle vibrations of up to 20g from 20Hz to 2000Hz and shocks of 100g for 6ms, ensuring reliable performance even under demanding operating conditions. So whether you're measuring pressure in a high-vibration factory or a bumpy off-road vehicle, you can count on the PX4 Series to deliver accurate and stable readings.

Temperature

The PX4 Series isn't afraid of a little heat. It boasts an impressive compensation temperature range of -10°C to 80°C, ensuring accurate readings even in challenging environments. And when the mercury really rises, the PX4 shines with an application temperature range spanning -40°C to a scorching 125°C. Need to store it in extreme temperatures? No problem – it can handle storage temperatures from -40°C to 125°C. Operate with confidence in diverse environments, knowing the PX4 Series will deliver reliable performance, come rain, shine, or heatwave.

Industries/Applications

Across diverse industries, the PX4 Series shines in demanding applications:

  • Industrial automation: Ensure precise pressure control in processes like hydraulics, pneumatics, and power generation.
  • Process control: Monitor critical pressure levels in chemical, petrochemical, and food and beverage industries with confidence.
  • Aerospace and automotive: Track vital pressure readings in engines, fuel systems, and other mission-critical components.
  • Environmental monitoring: Accurately measure pressure in water treatment, pollution control, and weather monitoring systems.

Its exceptional high-temperature resistance makes it ideal for even harsh environments like boiler rooms, steel mills, and engine testing.
