Blind Sensing Used in Made-to-Measure Fixtures

The fixture is designed to accept a completed molding. It is equipped with sensors at the required insert locations. Each sensor can determine whether the corresponding metallic insert is present in the molded plastic. Hence, the sensor can verify compliance with production specifications.

The sensor's PNP NO output can provide an immediate sign to the controller, which makes a logical GO – No GO decision. By eliminating human faults, the delivery of a whole and accurate product is guaranteed.
