Vortex Flow Meters Applied in Measurement of Saturated Steam

Steam is one of the most important energies in industrial production and precise measurement of its flow is economically necessary. Standard flowmeters are conventionally used for this purpose, but they have some problems:

The tri-valve, connecting pipe, and connecter cap will leak easily.
There will be a lot of pressure loss.
The pressure ratio, 3:1 normally, is too low. So while the flow fluctuates dramatically, the measurement will be lower than real.
Vortex flowmeters can be used to solve these problems. Using this type of flowmeters to measure the flow of the pipe will help us to solve the problems of leaking pipes. In addition, due to using them, the pressure ratio will be more extensive and the pressure loss will be less.
