Checking the presence and status of devices in hydraulic presses by Inductive sensors

The tool-changing process in presses used to mold automobile body segments occurs automatically.

These presses are down-acting and hydraulic. They are equipped with sliding tables. Such tables keep the tool in position and provide its automatic change.

We need automatic checking to ensure that both tool halves are on the sliding table as they are being worked on. The Wrong position of tools, or lack of tools, imposes failure and defect.

The solution:

Inductive sensors are suitable for this application.

Features:

• High reliability
• High flexibility
• Powerful construction
• Minimizing errors in manufacturing
• Minimizing damages

Checking the presence and status of devices in hydraulic presses by Inductive sensors

Set-up and function:

A sensor is set up on the corner of the sliding table to confirm that the tool is in the correct position. Accuracy in the switching distance of the sensor means that we can identify any deviation in the tool's position. So, any incorrectly positioned tool cuts the process off. This position/absence check happens at an appropriate speed.

The sensor stops the presses from working if the tools are abscent or incorrectly located. So, it saves you from manufacturing errors and harm to the presses and lowers downtime.
