Static Error Band

A static error is defined as the difference between the measured value and the true value of the quantity. The true value is the exact value of the measurement which is impossible to obtain. Hence the approximate true value of the measurement should be taken into consideration.

Static error band or SEB is the band of maximum deviations of the ascending and descending calibration points from a best fit line through zero output. It includes the effects of nonlinearity, hysteresis, and non-return to minimum load. Normally expressed in units of %FS.
