A Remote and Wireless Monitoring System for Firefighting Devices

Modern buildings are equipped with firefighting devices to maintain greater safety. For optimal operation of these devices, the amount of pool water must always be sufficient and the water pressure of the pipes must be constant.

Along with the enormous practice of IoT solutions, wireless monitoring becomes the best choice for firefighting device monitoring. By using sensors such as level sensors, pressure sensors, etc. at the local site and uploading monitoring data of firefighting devices to a data platform via the internet, we can realize wireless monitoring and alarm of parameters such as firework pipeline pressure, firework pool water level, etc. and ensure the firefighting device operates normally.

The solution includes sensor data platform monitoring system software, remote monitoring terminal, and onsite sensors (including pressure sensors, level, flow sensors, etc.). Remote monitoring terminal collectively with the sensors is the key technique to screen the water supply of firefighting devices. It can monitor the water level of the firefighting water pool and the water pressure of the firefighting pipeline in real-time. Furthermore, whilst the monitoring parameter is lower than the low limit, it will send an alarm.

As a result, operators can quickly detect dysfunctions such as pipeline damage, valve close, or pipeline blockage.
