Smart Regulation of Pressure in Natural Gas Pipelines

Natural gas is explosive and flammable. To maintain safety, it is necessary to constantly adjust the pressure and gas flow. In recent years, intelligent monitoring has been developed in various aspects of human life, and in this regard, intelligent monitoring of pressure and flow of gas pipes have been introduced.

Smart pressure regulation devices are relay stations, which correctly measure the pressure and flow of pipeline nodes.

But, decentralized pressure regulators are constrained by the power supply, and intelligent pressure regulators need lower power consumption front-end instruments.

High-precision, low-power consumption sensors are the key parts of smart pressure regulation devices. The sensors are the most front-end and accurate components in the natural gas pipeline network smart pressure regulation system, carrying out critical functions of real-time and precise measurement. So, suitable and specified sensor products are primarily for constructing a well-functioning smart pressure regulation system.

Smart Regulation of Pressure in Natural Gas Pipelines

Special digital output pressure sensors are designed for this purpose, some of which are listed below:

 • High-level sensor integration, small and simple structure, easy to use.

 • Working Temperature: -10 ℃~ 80 ℃

 • Power Supply: (5 ± 0.1) V DC, (3.3 ± 0.1) V DC

 • Overpressure: 1.5 times FS

 • Pressure Range: -100kPa… 0kPa ~ 10kPa… 3.5MPa

 • Supply Current: 2.5mA (normal mode)

 • With low power consumption, it can be used in battery-powered working conditions, convenient for wireless transmission.

 • 5uA (low power mode standby state)

 • Accuracy: ± 0.25% FS, ± 0.5% FS (pressure) ± 1.5 ℃ (temperature)

 • With digital calibration and a special temperature compensation circuit, the accuracy of the sensor is ± 0.5% FS (pressure).

 • Output: Standard I?C or SPI interface protocol digital signal

 • Output pressure and temperature data conforming to I?C interface protocol or SPI interface protocol, which can be directly connected to digital signal processing units such as user PLC and single-chip computers.

 • Excellent EMC, there is no analog output signal, and the anti-interference ability of the sensor is increased.

 • Suitable for a variety of complex working conditions

 • Can be used for figuring out different fluid pressures compatible with fluorine rubber and stainless steel.

In addition to the oil and gas industry, these sensors are also used in some other industries:

 • Recycling

 • Transportation

 • Smart city IoT

 • Instrumentation

 • Fire protection and environmental protection, etc.
