Description
Introduction
The Electromagnetic Flowmeter MFE600E Series is a state-of-the-art flow measurement device designed with advanced technology to deliver precise, reliable, and stable flow measurements. This flowmeter is an ideal solution for various industrial applications, including chemical processing, metallurgy, water supply and drainage, paper production, food processing, environmental protection, and water conservancy construction fields. Its robust design and high accuracy make it a preferred choice for industries where precise flow measurement is critical.
Key Features
- Unparalleled Measurement Stability: The MFE600E Flowmeter ensures measurement accuracy regardless of fluctuations in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, or electrical conductivity. This stability makes it suitable for diverse industrial environments.
- Open Flow Design with No Moving Parts: The flowmeter features an open flow design without moving parts in the measuring pipe, resulting in zero pressure loss and enhanced durability.
- Simultaneous Flow and Pressure Measurement: This flowmeter integrates pressure measurement capabilities, allowing it to measure both flow and pressure simultaneously, providing comprehensive data for process monitoring.
- High Sensitivity and Linearity: The device excels in measuring transient pulsating flux with exceptional sensitivity and linearity, ensuring accurate readings even in challenging conditions.
- Durability through Corrosion and Abrasion Resistance: With the media only coming into contact with the lining and electrodes, the MFE600E is built to last. Proper selection of electrode and lining materials ensures long-term resistance to corrosion and abrasion.
- Multi-Electrode Structure for Enhanced Accuracy: The innovative multi-electrode design guarantees high accuracy. The inclusion of a grounding electrode eliminates the need for a grounding ring, reducing costs and simplifying installation.
- Memory Retention During Power Loss: Equipped with EEPROM, the flowmeter retains parameter settings and cumulative values even during power outages, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
- Low Power Consumption: Utilizing a low-power single-chip processor, the MFE600E ensures reliable performance with minimal power consumption, making it energy-efficient and cost-effective.
- Two-Way Measurement Capability: The flowmeter can measure both forward and reverse flows, making it versatile for various applications. It also features low-frequency rectangular wave excitation, improving flow stability, reducing power loss, and enhancing low-velocity performance.
Working Principle
The MFE600E operates based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. When a conductive liquid flows through the flowmeter, an induced electromotive force is generated within the liquid conductor. This force is directly proportional to the liquid’s velocity, magnetic flux density, and the width of the conductor (interior diameter of the flowmeter). The electrodes embedded in the tube wall detect this force, allowing for precise flow measurement.
Installation Guidelines
To ensure optimal performance, the MFE600E Electromagnetic Flowmeter must be installed under conditions where the pipe remains full. The flowmeter cannot operate correctly if the pipe is partially filled or empty. It is recommended to install the flowmeter in a location where it remains filled with liquid, avoiding high points in the pipeline.
For high accuracy, it is essential to follow specific installation guidelines:
- Straight Pipe Requirements: Ensure a minimum of 5D straight pipe upstream and 2D downstream from the flowmeter.
- Installation Direction: Align the flow direction with the arrow on the sensor, and ensure horizontal alignment of the electrode axis to prevent bubble accumulation.
- Support Requirements: Install supports on both sides of the pipeline to prevent stress on the flowmeter due to vibrations or contractions in the pipeline.
Electrical Connection
The MFE600E Flowmeter offers both integrated and separated converter options. For reliable operation, proper wiring practices must be followed:
- Use two-core twisted pair shielded wire for RS485 communication.
- Separate power lines and 4mA~20mA DC signal lines using different cables.
The wiring configuration depends on the chosen converter type, with detailed terminal definitions provided for both integrated and separated options.
Noise Suppression and Grounding
Given that the electromagnetic flowmeter's inductive signal voltage is minimal, it is highly susceptible to noise interference. Proper grounding is crucial to maintain measurement accuracy. The device includes a ground loop to establish a liquid ground through direct contact with the liquid, protecting the lining and maintaining a stable reference potential.
To minimize noise interference, avoid installing the flowmeter near motors, transformers, or other devices that may cause induction interference.
Manufacturing Standards
The MFE600E Electromagnetic Flowmeter is manufactured to the highest standards, ensuring quality and reliability. It complies with the following standards:
- JB/T 9248-2015 Electromagnetic Flowmeter
- JJG 1033-2007 Verification Regulations
- GB/T 9124.1-2019 Steel Pipe Flange
- GB/T 17626.2-2018 EMC Electrostatic Discharge Test
