Checking the Speed for Mobile Compost Turning Equipment

To screen the velocity of business composting machines, strong and reliable sensors are needed to perform constantly in the rotor, tolerating dust, humidity, excessive temperatures, long lasting vibration and shaking. Furthermore, because the location of the sensor in the rotor is difficult to access, the sensor should be very long lasting and must need low maintenance.

Inductive sensors from the WASHDOWN range, are ideal for this application. Made from a single piece of V4A stainless steel, together with the sensing face, they are the most vigorous inductive sensors available. They tolerate shock, vibration, pressure and abrasion and nearly any exposure to gases, liquids or dirt. Functionally stable at temperatures from -25 to +85°C, they may be additionally insensitive to core breakage.

Their working distance is three times greater than the norm and they are M12 sized.  Their Setup is easy. A sensor model with plug connector was selected to permit rapid alternative if necessary.
