The Autonics proximity sensor PSNT17-5DO features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Autonics. This sensor comes in a Rectangular shape, sensing distance of 5mm, sensing side diameter and frame size 17mm and rectangular installation. The standard rectangular inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

The Autonics sensor's PSNT17-5DO features standard cable type connection. This cable covers the sensor's 2 wires. It is 4 mm in diameter and 2 meters in length.

Sensing specifications

This inductive sensor's frame size is 17mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target, which is an 18×18×1 mm piece of iron, is 5 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc.

Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it is a big deal to know this concept.
